Before comparing builders or packages, define the project as clearly as possible. Ask:

A tiny home should begin with a purpose-built trailer or site foundation engineered or specified for its dimensions, loads, intended use, transport requirements, and installation plan. Compare:
- Purpose-built versus modified utility trailers
- Hybrid trailer-to-site systems
- Weight capacity and axle configuration
- Warranty coverage
- Bumper pull versus gooseneck
- Site or skid foundations
- Width and transportation requirements
Compare Tiny Home Structural Systems
Compare how the floor, walls, roof, openings, connections, and transport loads are designed; how cold-formed steel framing components are manufactured and labeled; and who is responsible for insulation, air and water control, exterior sheathing, weatherproofing, and structural assembly. Ask whether the builder coordinates the foundation, subfloor, and frame as one system or purchases critical components from unrelated suppliers.
