Purpose-Built Tiny House
Trailer Foundations

Every great tiny home starts with the right foundation. Trailer Made foundations are engineered specifically for structural loads, long-term durability, and the unique demands of tiny homes on wheels. We do not start with a utility trailer and modify it. We manufacture purpose-built structural foundations in our 47,000-square-foot Colorado facility using domestic steel, experienced welders, and proven engineering. Compare bumper-pull foundations, gooseneck foundations, and hybrid trailer-to-site foundations for different layouts and placement plans.

Why The

Foundation Matters

A tiny home places concentrated, permanent loads on the trailer frame. The foundation must support walls, lofts, roofing, appliances, tanks, cabinetry, and years of travel or stationary use without compromising the structure above it.

Built To Perform

Each foundation is configured around the planned home width and length, estimated completed weight, floor plan, lofts, tanks, appliances, concentrated loads, axle and GVWR strategy, deck height, tow configuration, intended mobility, and delivery route. These inputs must be defined before fabrication so the chassis and house structure can be coordinated.

Fabrication includes professional welding, the specified corrosion-resistant coating system, coordinated axle placement, structural attachment points, and in-process quality checks. Final payload, towing, registration, road-use, and operating requirements depend on the completed home, selected components, tow vehicle, route, and applicable authorities.
